Plus, real ceramic coatings aren’t cheap—most quality coatings cost over $200 just for the product alone. Then you have the products needed for prep and, most importantly, the labor for paint correction (since ceramic locks in whatever’s under it). Add in the time and care it takes to install it properly, and that’s where the cost comes from.

Paint correction is the process of removing swirl marks, scratches, and other defects to bring back your vehicle’s gloss. It comes
in different stages depending on what your paint needs:
Stage 1: Removes swirls and light scratches you get from car washes, bushes, or even your pants brushing against the car.
Stage 2: A 2-pad and compound process with multiple passes if needed. Helps remove minor deeper scratches and defects, taking out significantly more than Stage 1.
Stage 3: For those who hate seeing scratches. This involves multiple compound passes, testing the clear coat to see what can safely be removed, and in some cases, wet sanding panels for the best possible finish.

Over time, the clear plastic (polycarbonate) on headlights oxidizes from sun exposure, UV rays, and road debris. This wears down the factory UV coating, causing them to look yellow, hazy, or dull. Moisture and tiny scratches can also make it worse, reducing your nighttime visibility.
